can someone explain to me his fetish with conjure frost? I don't see what purpose it serves as its almost always insta shattered and after the nerf not really worth a slot. So yea feel free to explain this to me.

It's still good. Most of rawr's pressure comes from rapid spike calling. With a conjure, Polly can effectively spike a target without using any of his adrenal skills, thus allowing for even more rapid spikes. Just frenzying while under conjure looks like a spike, getting 60+ damage per hit, in conjunction with paragon attacks and whatever supplemental midline/flagger damage (eg, ancestors rage) there might be. Forces big prots and makes more spikes go through, ultimately.

a good explanation but would you take a flimsy enchant that is going to get stripped over sure thing knockdown like shock?

If you play in the rawr style, yes it is better to take. If you don't, then don't.
